At Casey Industrial our safety program is built around 100% employee involvement driven by the actions of our employees at all levels of the organization. When you ask anyone at Casey, “who is responsible for safety,” they will tell you “I AM.” We believe that in order to achieve operational excellence, we must plan our work with safety in mind: plan the work, work the plan.
Our safety culture emphasizes accountability driven by clear expectations for all employees within the company; from the senior leaders and supervisors through our entry-level craft employees. With this inclusion into our core processes, such as JSA development, behavioral observations and participation in our Safety Leadership Teams, we are able to improve awareness at all levels, enhance the project team’s ability to recognize hazards and ultimately reduce the frequency of incidents.
